Evergreen Trees

Evergreen trees (trees that hold their leaves) provide year round colour and form to your garden.  Advantages of evergreen trees include constant privacy and protection from the elements as well as providing a continual backdrop to the rest of your garden.

A number of evergreen trees also provide splashes of flowers and/or fruits, at various times of the year (e.g. Magnolia grandiflora, Fraxinus Griffithi, Arbutus unedo) and provide continued interest with their leaf form and structure.

Natives

A great way to enhance the bird life on your property, or to enjoy the pleasures of our natural landscape, is to plant New Zealand natives.  From the graceful rimu to the colourful kowhai, from the iconic pohutakawa to the stunning pseudopanax, the range of natives and their uses are far and wide.  Tolerating a range of conditions, including coastal and wind, natives are versatile and complimentary in a range of settings.
